Arriving at Cambridge, and all that goes with it...

Finally (!) on the way to Cambridge!

So, we thought we'd passed our traveling crisis with the missed train and steep replacement tickets. BUT our ordeal of getting to Cambridge was yet to be finished. With our banana breakfast in hand we got to the airport an hour earlier than the ticket booth opened (we misread our times) so spent a good deal of time waiting (we'd gotten used to that at the 5 hour bus stop wait on Saturday) for the plane...which was delayed. And then we finally got on the plane... which was delayed another hour!!! So, we got to England late, missing the next train to Cambridge... so another hour wait at the train station with no food or water. That also meant we missed welcome orientation for the program. We finally got on the train there, hoping that a late lunch would be served and got off an hour later at CAMBRIDGE!

Oh, but wait, it's a mile and a half from the station to the university. No big, we can walk! Dustin will take one bag, I'll take the other.

Until the wheelie bag BREAKS...and the strap bag splits...it is TOUGH dragging 100 pounds of deadweight up the street. The wheelie was especially troublesome - SO loud across the cobble stone and it scraped a big thick black line all the way from the station to the college.

(We went back three weeks later and it was still visible!)

Cambridge, we have made our mark on you. What have you got in return???

P.S. - Here is the room we finally got to (after I missed my first class and Dustin was able to race to his, thanks to two BYU students spotting us and helping us get situated) after the big hooplah. And...no food until 8:00 welcome dinner that night - what a day!
